Adam Lambert in Bottom Three

Adam Lambert was in the bottom three of the American Idol contestants last night. I am not really surprised though. I think people think he is so good he can't lose, so they assume he is getting votes. In my opinion, Adam is a pretty good singer who screams some of his songs and sticks his pointy tongue out in creepy ways when he sings. I think even if he doesn't win American Idol he will still get some kind of recording deal. He is weird, and scary and creepy, and a giant of an effeminate man, but I can't seem to take my eyes off of him. Kris Allen and Danny Gokey are more to my liking, but the proof is in the voting. It should end up being an interesting final few weeks. -----By the way, Allison has a great voice, but seems a little immature for winning the whole thing. What do I know, anyway?

Adam Lambert--Great Singer, But Scary

I think Adam Lambert is probably the best singer, and probably the most ready to become a pop star than all the remaining cast members of this season's American Idol show. I wonder why, with his being so good, he hasn't already been recording records and doing concerts and things. It seems that others on past shows (Carly comes to mind) who don't really have the chops, have had record deals. Why hasn't Adam? Even if he doesn't win, he will definitely have a bright career after this show. With all that being said, I just don't like him much. He is sort of spooky; there's just something about him that makes me feel a little scared of him. Sometimes when he sings, he sort of screams and it just puts me off. Last night's song was beautiful, though. I'm betting he's going to win, even though he isn't my favorite. I rather like Danny Gokey--he doesn't scare me as much! Just an afterthought. . .Has anyone else noticed how ginormous Adam Lambert looks when he is standing next to Ryan Seacrest? Check it out tonight, you'll see what I mean.

Tatiana Del Toro--Something's Gonna Happen

Uh-oh. I have a bad feeling about how the Tatiana Del Toro "Drama Queen of Ameican Idol" is going to turn out. She seems so unpredictable, and now that she was not chosen for the top 12, I'm not sure she can cope with that rejection. I actually think she is a pretty good singer, but oy, the drama! Perhaps she will be one of the "wild card" picks for the top twelve. She certainly was entertaining, and I hope that she doesn't do anything crazy.

Brooke White the New Amy Grant?

Call me crazy, but I think Brooke White, the super sweet, smooth voiced, singer on this season's "American Idol" is the younger, blonder version of Amy Grant. If you watch the show, and you are familar with both singers, I think you will understand what I mean. Amy Grant has that warm, smooth tone to her voice. It just makes you feel good; feel like singing along with her. Brooke White has a similar quality to her voice as well. They also both have that endearing sort of onstage awkward humaness about them. So, I think that Brooke, no matter how far she goes in the American Idol contest, will probably have a bright singing future ahead of her. Hopefully, she is as kind and sweet in real life as she seems on the show. Take a look at these pictures and see if you can see what I mean.

Dancing With the Stars and American Idol--Can I Handle It?

Don't know why, but I just really enjoy watching "Dancing With the Stars." My husband and I took a ballroom dancing class several years ago. I was awful. I have a very sensitive neck, and the dancing really took a toll on it. It took a couple of weeks after the classes ended before I could even turn my head. So, anyway, my family and I watched the first installment of "Dancing" and it looks like it is going to be another interesting season. I also have more reason to watch this season since my cousin and her dance partner, who are trying to get their professional dancing careers really going could be on the show. They were in Los Angeles when the show was filming the back stories on the dancers, and may even end up in the background. Good for them, they have been working hard and would like to get some work that pays a little better. Tonight will be a marathon TV watching night since both "Dancing With the Stars" and "American Idol" are both on. We will be going into musical reality show shock tonight! Oh well, this week is my kids' Spring Break, so bring it on!

Carly Smithson a.k.a Carly Hennessy

It wouldn't be another American Idol season without the usual "American Idol Scandal." So far, this season the latest "scandal" is that the Irish singer, Carly Smithson, who made the Idol cut two seasons ago, but couldn't continue due to work permit troubles, made it this year. But that's not the controversy, the thing is, Carly Smithson has already been discovered and has had an album produced and distributed with the MCA record label under her maiden name of Carly Hennessy. Apparently the album was a flop, so here she is under a different name trying pass herself off as an undiscovered amateur. She is a good singer, but other contestants in the show might feel it is unfair to have someone competing against them who has already had an opportunity to "make it" and didn't. No word yet if she will be allowed to continue, but it makes for some interesting watercooler discussions until the next American Idol contestant does something that catches the media's attention.
