Hydrolize My Eyes

The other day I heard an ad on the radio that was interesting to me because I have those dreaded dark circles under my eyes. I guess I inherited them from my mother who inherited them from her mother, who inherited them from her mother. These awful looking dark circles certainly look like an inherited trait. In all the pictures from my mother's mother's side of the family, dark circles seem to be the norm. I hate them, and the older I get, the worse I think they look. Adding to the age of my skin and probable sun damage is the fact that I have worn contact lenses for twenty-eight years. The wear and tear on the skin around my eyes is quite obvious. So, this ad made my ears perk up, because so far nothing has worked to reduce (even a little) the dark circles. This particular product is called Hydrolize and supposedly can "cure" the dark circle problem. I have tried Hylexin and Nulexin and other creams that contain vitamin K, but I had never heard of Hydrolize before. I decided to do a little searching on the Internet and found a review of the product. The review wasn't all that helpful since it criticized the product for only working on one area of the face. Weird, since I thought that was the whole point of the product. Anyway, it didn't get that great of a review, but not a bad one either. I decided to go to the Hydrolize website to see how much the product would cost. It is expensive. $49.99 for just one tiny little pot of the stuff. If you buy four of those little pots, it was $149.99 plus shipping and handling. While I would love to get even a little bit of lightening of the skin around my eyes, I just cannot afford the high cost of such a cream without any guarantees that it will actually work. I don't have that kind of discretionary money anymore. Too bad, I really need to hydrolize my eyes!

I just heard on the radio an add for a free 30-day trial. But it's not quite free as you have to pay $12.95 for shipping. For your free trial you get 2 30-day jars. However if you want to cancel, ur supposed to return the unused portions. Just call the toll free number 800-505-7931. I have dark circles too, so I want to try it. However, if you forget to cancel it'll automatically charge your card $69.95 + Shipping for a 2 month supply.

WOW! I just called the Hydrolize customer number to request a free trial. It's amazing that you call for one thing and they tried to give you soooooo much more. Ladies be prepared! They offered me a free 30-day supply of multivitamins and magazine subscription. Anything to get more..money!

Thanks for the "heads up" on that! I hate my dark circles! Yuck!

If anyone has tried this hydrolize, I would love to hear your results. I also have the dreaded inherrited dark under eye circles. And yes, the older you get the worse they get. Not to mention the wrinkles I have under my eyes. When I use the combative yellow concealer with some powder over the top of the circles, the makeup just settles in the wrinkles. CRAP!!! I cannot win! Any advice through your own experience would be very much appreciated. And it's really too bad the company marketing hydlrolize is so money hungry. I called, and once I realized they were going to hold onto my credit card info. for the automatic purchase. I declined the sale. The rep was so over-the-top pushy, I asked him for his employee ID# so I could report him to better business bureau. The called ended within seconds.

My daughter who has horrible dark circles under her eyes, has tried Hydrolize, I also bought some for myself. My eyes aren't quite as bad as hers, but thought we'd try it together. It didn't work for either one of us. I've
tried to cancel the shipments. They continue to send me Hydrolize and bill my bank account.

Thanks so much for the heads up ladies. So if i want to try this product I can get one of those prepaid visa cards.

I found this link. It's a supposed review of various dark-circle removind products offered by an objective third party. I can vouch for none of it, but I thought it might be help some of you make a decision.
I also have the dreaded dark-circle syndrome, a characteristic passed down in my family for generations.
Lovely, huh?

Thanks, everyone, for those helpful comments. I thought it sounded too good to be true, and now know not to waste my time and money. Obviously, this is a common problem, and that is strangely comforting to me. But I hate how we're letting ourselves be manipulated by those out to make money off of our insecurities. (Notice how many cellulite creams are on the market these days?) Maybe it's time we learn to accept our imperfections, or at least not dwell on them... I know, that's easier said than done! But I'll try not to notice your dark circles, if you try not to notice mine!

Hey, thanks everyone for all your input about these products. I checked out the website one of you suggested--www.darkcircleswarning.com and once again, it seemed to be something that wasn't available in stores, and it was the whole "free trial" that puts you on a credit card billing cycle. Ugh! The product was called Pure 365 Beauty and the other was Dermitage. I couldn't even find the Pure 365 stuff on ebay. I did find the Dermitage products on ebay. Why does this have to be so difficult? I hate my circles, I don't think I will ever be able to accept them! Thank you to all who have read my blog and commented. Please keep searching and maybe one of us will find a "cure"

try a bronzer, one shade lighter than your normal color and brush from the lash line down rather than side to side. It seems to help a bit.

Glad I didn't send them money! I too am victim of genetic dark under-eye circles. I haven't found a product that cures them, but I hide them by first applying a yellow tint (Physician's Formula), then lightly covering that with some loose powder. Brightens my eyes up and hides the circles. I'm mexican with an olive complexion though, so it may not work for everyone.

I started tanning, and as the rest of me got darker, the contrast between the circle under my eyes and the rest of my face got considerably less. I realize this did nothing to lessen the circles, but it has sure made them less noticable. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info and all the great comments. I was ready to try this, but it just seems that there really is no magic in a bottle :-)

I too, have had dark circles under my eyes. People would look at me when I was very young and ask my mother if I wasn't feeling well. Of course, they were looking at the circles under my eyes! I also, notice when I tan they get less noticable but, that of course isn't good for you either, but I look better! I have tried a cream that said it worked but, didn't. I also heard the ad on the radio today for the Hydrolize. I'm glad I looked on the internet. Thanks guys! Maybe we should start a support group!

My mom and I both have dark circles. I hate that I never leave the house with at least concealer and finding a great concealer is work in itself. There is one product my mom used that actually created a noticeable change with puffiness and the darkness. It's pricey. It was the Sisley eye cream Sisleya. It comes in two sizes. They have less expensive eye creams that I've enjoyed because of the hydration it gives. It's very easy to get samples before you jump in. You can find this line at upscale department stores such as Bloomingdales or Neiman Marcus. Just tell tge sales lady you are looking for a new eye cream and would like samples to see if it's worth the investment. Good Luck!!

Wow, thanks everyone for posting your comments. I heard the Hydrolize commercial and almost fell for it. I am so glad I found this website! Seems there are a lot of companies trying to market their beauty products by creating "review" websites that look like they were created by a typical person who has actually tried all the products. That is so misleading! Sorry you've had problems, but I'm even more sorry that we can't find a solution! Thanks again - you have just cost those scammers my business :)

So how do i cancel? HELP PLEASE!! Any numbers or information you could give me would be great! Thank you!

I am a mom of three children and my youngest child is a year old. I am so disappointed with this company cause I have very dark circles around my eyes from allergies, stress and a gift from my forparents and I thought this product would help as I am getting older and the spots are getting darker, I also thought that if I could just find something that works I won't be so insecure whenever I see my husband looking at a younger girl with flawless looking skin. I guess maybe I wanted this product to work to much for my own selfishness.

You know, I've neve been to a dermatologist, but I wonder if they would be able to offer some solid advice about treating dark circles. I think I'd much rather do that than pop $69 for a product that MAY work....

P.S - Thanks for the info! I was actually on my way to ordering this product.

I made a very big mistake ordering this product on telephone and was shocked to see huge charge on my credit card. Its not free, people..its going to cost every letter in FREE..that they so cleverly scam vulnerable clients.

As per being an indian, we have dark raccoon eyes-I tried the Pond's Age DefEye Anti-Circle Anti-Puff Eye Therapy with Vitamin K & Anti-Oxidants, .5-Ounce Bottles - put it on early morning after bathing and before going to bed. Honest to god, it worked.

I haven't tried it, but maybe I will. Thanks for the info.

My dark circles were also hereditary to a point no concealer ever helped. A few years back I came across a product called Hylexin. I was desperate. I was also using various creams at the time and didn't know what was helping. So I put this cream on the shelf for a year and just started using it about a year ago and I must say I DO NOT have any dark circles. It takes time so you need to give it at least a couple of months and trust me you will be amazed that you did. This cream seems to have negative reviews but you have to keep using it. If i stop using it after a week i start getting dark circles. I don't wear any concealer anymore and haven't for almost a year - I had serious raccoon eyes. You can buy it on amazon for half the price. I use it under my eye cream and let it dry first. It does exactly what the website states - www.hylexinreviews.com. You can always return it. But after a few weeks if you start noticing even the slightest difference keep using it.

There is an undereye treatment product by ROC. It's only about 15-20 bucks. It actually works! I've used it myself and definitely vouch for it. I use it every night after washing my face and can now go out without makeup if i don't want to!

I ordered the 30 day trial of Hydrolize and got caught up in the trap of not sending the stuff back in time. They did charge me the $70 but when I returned it I rec'd a credit. The problem is that this stuff does work. After a couple of weeks my dark circles were lighter but it is much too expensive for me as I am unemployed now. So I went on E-Bay and found it there MUCH,MUCH cheaper! May I suggest that anyone who wants to purchase this product do so from E-Bay.

Ladies,

Dont buy the product it is useless and not worth the money at all. If you want to get rid of your dark circles..............try this, it works a treat and leaves your skin refreshed and smooth.

STEP 1.
Take crushed ice into a bowl and chop up a cucumber.... submerge face into bowl... keep repeating this for about 10 minutes.

STEP 2.

Take a honey melon and liquidize it, add 1tblsp of honey and 1tbsp of lemon juice. Apply to face and leave on for 5 minutes........ keep this in the fridge you can then use it daily............ trust me it works....... and its not expensive...

Hi ladies... I don't know if your still reading this lpost, but I wanted to give my review on Hydrolize.. I did the free trial. Though it was a pain to get them to cancel me after it was over, I finally got them to stop it. I didn't want to stay on the automatic month to no the order if I wasn't sure that it worked either. Ok so long story short. I used it religiously day in and day out for over a month. They suggest 30 days. I noticed NOTHING, NO CHANGE!! I was and am so disappointed. I have dark circles that I've had most of my life and its very frustrating. Someone posted an ice cube and honey recipe on here. I will try that.

This product is garbage. I tried the "risk free trial" which is NOT free and the only changes in my eyes were that they watered constantly and it burns forever after applying! Please don't waste your time or money!

I am a man who has had the dark circle curse from childhood. I'd just like to be rid of the raccoon look. I've been intrigued by the Hydrolize ads for some time now, but having signed up for a free trial of a fish oil product a couple of years ago. I will never fall for one of these come-ons again. It was the same routine that many of you have described in the replies. It's well nigh impossible to cancel these programs. They're like the monster you can't kill in the movies. I ended up having to retire my credit card and open a new one to stop them. Anyway thanks for all the reviews by the intrepid, albeit unfortunate individuals that sailed for this scam and were kind enough to share their experience. I will avoid it like the plague that it is.

i also have dark circles. ive had them since i was a kid .I have spoken to 2 plastic surgeons. it is a combination of allergies, and it is the coloration of the skin. Not pools of blood under the skin. The only thing that will lighten dark circles is a fade cream with hydroquoinine that is made for under eyes. You can get this from a dermatologist. the other thing I have used is iqderma idisguise. it is a concealer that comes in many shades, give good coverage and also firms the under eye skin which helps the appearance. Last- I did one round of juvederm under the eyes to even out puffiness and it seemed to help. The juvederm lasted a long time(around a year or more) and it made a big difference. I recommend it to anyone who can afford it. sun definitely makes it worse over time and adds to the dark.Hope this helps. You can get the iq derma idisguise on dermstore.com for half price when its on sale.

Total waste of Money, does not work at all. Save your money , they have lots of advertising to reel you in.

I think the whole Hydrolize Ad sounds like a scam. You should try Perricone Cold Plasma Eye Cream. You can get it in Sephora,it is quite expensive but they do a trial size eye and face cream set for $15. This tiny tube has lasted me over a month which is a good trial period and i have definatly noticed results, dark circles have diminished. Thinking about buy the full size but might try getting it on ebay for a little bit less. But definatly try the try size or see if you can get any free samples in Sephora. Good luck and hope you have the same results if you try it.

Consumer reports has an unbiased review of the best eye creams, tested for 12 weeks in 2007. Although the experiment did not test Hydrolyze, it is worth looking into. A subscription to Consumer Reports is $26 annually or $5.95 monthly, and so worth it as is reviews everything you could imagine. All items reviewed by them undergo an intense screening and experimentation process. You can trust the results and recommendations

Anonymous said...

heres a pro tip - if you want to try out a new product that will charge you monthly, get yourself a prepaid credit card. if you have trouble canceling the subscription, you will only be out the amount that the card it worth

No one has mentioned their TV commercials, which run many times a day and have been shown for a year or more.

I find it amusing that they say the "free trial offer" is in celebration of their millionth jar sold, and imply that you must call within 24 hours!

If these tactics aren't warning enough, what is?
